Diane Lanpher was born in Buffalo, NY on November 26, 1955 and became a resident of Vergennes in 1984 with her family. Representative Lanpher graduated from Hilbert College of Hamburg, NY in 1975.

Diane is married to Jim Lanpher and they have three grown children and two grandchildren. Diane works part time with Jim at their Horace Mann Insurance business in South Burlington.

She has been the Training Coordinator for the VT Dept of Health, Div. of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs for many years and most recently worked for the New England Institute of Addiction Studies, Augusta , ME.

Most of her work focused on state wide training which enhanced treatment programs in Vermont, through a federally funded VT Adolescent Treatment Grant.

Diane has served on the Vergennes City Council for several years and is Chair person of the Vergennes Energy Savings Committee, a delegate to the Addison County Transportation Advisory Committee and is a board member of Addison County Transit Resources (ACTR).

She has been a member of St. Peter’s Church in Vergennes where she served on the parish council and was a religious educator for 18 yrs. She is a member of the Vergennes Lions Club and an active member of (ECCRT) Economic Crisis Community Response Team of northern Addison County.
