Paul is the current chair of the Addison County Democrats. In
2004, Paul was a Democratic candidate for the Vermont Senate
from Addison County. He also ran for the US House of
Representatives in 1984.
Paul is the VP of Public Policy for
Vermont
Information Technology Leaders,
a non-profit organization responsible for promoting the use of
electronic health records (EHRs) and for establishing Vermont’s
health information exchange network. VITL is located in
Montpelier.
Before joining VITL, Paul was an independent consultant in
public policy research and advocacy. He represented several
Vermont nonprofit organizations on health care reform issues at
the statehouse.
Paul earned a Master of Science in Information Technology and a
B.A. in Political Science from Union College, Schenectady, N.Y.
He is a member of the Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist
Society in Middlebury and was on their board from 2009-2011. He
also served on the boards of the Congressional Management
Foundation in DC and the Lincoln Community Library.
