In an Oval Office address to mark the end of U.S. combat
operations in Iraq Tuesday, President Barack Obama will say,
“Ending this war is not only in Iraq’s interest – it is in our
own,” according to excerpts released by the White House. “We
have met our responsibility. Now, it is time to turn the page.”
Obama also will say that restoring the economy “must be our
central mission as a people, and my central responsibility as
President.”

Peter Shumlin, President Pro Tem of the Vermont Senate and Democratic Candidate for Governor, was our guest at the Addison County Democratic Committee meeting on Monday, June 14.
